Japan Meteorological Agency said a magnitude-4.4 earthquake struck northern Shiga Prefecture at about 00:48 JST on the 10th, at a depth of 20 km. Maximum seismic intensity was 3 on the JMA scale. No tsunami risk was expected.

Saudi outlet Alhadath quoted Yemen's National Resistance Forces saying the Houthi movement is an Iranian proxy whose decision-making is controlled by Iran. The group said the Houthis seek to serve Iran by creating chaos and escalating tensions to relieve external pressure, called the Houthis a "war instrument" rather than a tool for peace and said peace with them is impossible, and warned their adventurism will not be tolerated.

Danish police said a shooting in Holbæk on Aug. 9 at about 15:45 local time left multiple people wounded; exact casualty figures are unknown. Police said the incident likely stemmed from a criminal gang transaction; no arrests have been made. Holbæk is about 60 km west of Copenhagen and has roughly 30,000 residents.
