Hong Kong shares extended gains; Hang Seng Tech Index rose more than 3% and the HSI gained over 0.8%. Pharma outsourcing and semiconductor stocks were active throughout the session.
Three major A-share indices turned positive in the afternoon session; Shanghai Composite moved into the green. ChiNext rose 0.74% and the SZSE Component Index gained 0.8%. Top-performing sectors: fluorochemicals, memory chips, PCB and crude palm oil (CPO). More than 1,200 stocks advanced.

A股机器人概念股午后冲高，鑫宏业、满坤科技此前20CM涨停，一博科技涨超17%，索辰科技涨超16%，精智达涨超14%，海兰信涨超13%。
China A-share robot-concept stocks rallied in the afternoon; Xin Hongye and Mankun Technology earlier hit a 20CM limit-up, while Yibo Technology gained >17%, Suochen Technology >16%, Jingzhida >14% and Hailanxin >13%.
三星电子股价一度上涨8%。
Samsung Electronics shares gained as much as 8% intraday.
