Preliminary counts early on the 21st show The Left won 25.7% in the Berlin state parliament election, becoming the largest party for the first time and recording its best-ever Berlin result (12.2% in 2023). Former coalition partners fell sharply: the CDU 18.8% (second), the SPD 12.1% — its lowest-ever Berlin share. The Choice Party 16.3% (third); the Greens 14.3%.
