Channel 12 reported a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv issued a 7700 emergency call and then a 7500 hijack code on Wednesday. Israeli Air Force jets were scrambled to intercept. The aircraft circled over Jordan before diverting to Saudi Arabia. About 180 passengers were on board. Israeli authorities say they cannot contact the plane and it is barred from landing in Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Katz and Transport Minister Miri Regev are holding emergency consultations.
