On Oct 4 a China University of Geosciences (Beijing)-led team, with the Nepal Academy of Sciences, will depart Chengdu for a roughly 20-day cross-border emergency scientific survey in Nepal to assess cryosphere and lithosphere impacts from the Aug.26 Himalayan extreme geological disaster across the overseas source area, affected domestic bodies and downstream foreign basin, and to deliver Chinese scientific proposals for cross-border joint prevention and control.
