China State Railway Group will implement a new national freight train timetable from Oct. 10 at 18:00. The revamp refines the China Railway logistics product suite to lower overall logistics costs and improve transport efficiency. Key measures: optimize intercity freight services to speed city-to-city cargo flows; enhance multimodal train products to raise end-to-end logistics efficiency; expand direct rail transport for bulk commodities to secure movement of key strategic and livelihood materials; upgrade China–Europe and Central Asia rail services to provide safer, faster cross-border logistics; and continue railway logistics service improvements to drive freight cost reductions and efficiency gains.
